Work With Us
Newport's Specialist Alternative Education Provider
We are UCLA Education, a Newport-based alternative education provider dedicated to supporting young people who need a different approach to learning.
Every young person we work with has a story. Whether they’ve been excluded, are struggling with attendance, or have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, we meet them where they are and help them move forward.
Our programmes are delivered by qualified, experienced practitioners in a safe, structured environment right here in South Wales. We work closely with Local Authority teams, SENCOs, parents and carers to create individual learning pathways that build confidence, skills and a sense of belonging.
We are not a last resort. We are a first choice for families and schools who want something better.

“UCLA Education took on one of our most challenging Year 10 pupils after a permanent exclusion. Within six weeks, attendance was up and he was engaging with learning again. They communicated at every step.”
Sarah Whitfield

“The Level 2 Gym Instructing course was brilliant. The blended learning approach was ideal for me and the live virtual sessions were surprisingly engaging. I felt fully prepared for my assessments and secured a job at my local leisure centre just two weeks after qualifying.”
James Porter
Fitness Instructor
“We booked a group session for Manual Handling training and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The trainer was knowledgeable, the delivery was practical and my team left feeling confident and properly informed. Great service all round.”
David Campbell
Workplace Safety Supervisor
“I can’t recommend Meta Training Academy enough. The Mental Health Awareness course helped me better support service users at work, and the tutor guidance was top-notch. Professional, flexible and really good value for money.”
